What a ductless mini-split costs.
These are the typical installed totals on our ductless jobs from 2024 to 2026, before any utility incentive. Head locations, line-set length and electrical work move the price.

Is ductless the right call?
When ductless fits, and when a ducted system makes more sense.
Ductless is usually the better fit
- Baseboard or wall heaters and no ducts
- An older home where running ducts means tearing into walls
- An addition, bonus room, garage or shop
- A cabin or second home you heat room by room
- One room that's always hotter or colder than the rest
A ducted heat pump may be better
- Ducts already reach every room
- You heat with an electric furnace today
- You'd rather have one thermostat than several heads
- You want to keep a gas furnace as backup
Utility incentives
Ductless rebates by utility.
Chelan PUD first-time ductless conversion, site-built home
$2,000 for a manufactured home and $1,000 for a multifamily building with 5 or more units. Applications received April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. We handle the pre-approval paperwork.
Rebates are provided and approved only by Chelan PUD. Amounts and eligibility are subject to change. Ask us about standard heat pump rebates.
From estimate to first comfortable night
How a ductless install works.
- In-home estimate. We walk the rooms with you, pick head locations and check the electrical panel.
- Utility paperwork. In Chelan PUD territory we submit the pre-approval before any equipment is bought.
- Install. The crew sets the outdoor unit on a pad or raised stand, runs the line set through a small hole in the wall and mounts the heads.
- Start-up and walkthrough. We test each zone and show you how to use the remotes and clean the filters.

Ductless mini-split FAQ
How much does a ductless mini-split cost?
On our completed installs from 2024 to 2026, a single-zone system typically ran about $7,000 to $8,700, two zones about $11,000 to $13,500, three zones about $13,700 to $16,500 and four or more about $17,800 to $21,500, before any utility incentive.
Is there a rebate for ductless heat pumps?
In Chelan PUD territory, a first-time ductless conversion may qualify for a $1,600 potential utility incentive in a site-built home, $2,000 in a manufactured home or $1,000 per multifamily building of 5 or more units. Douglas PUD has no rebates at this time.
Does a mini-split heat in winter too?
Yes. A ductless mini-split is a heat pump, so it heats in winter and cools in summer. Outdoor units go on raised stands where snow piles up.
How many indoor heads do I need?
Usually one per area you want to control on its own, such as the main living space and each bedroom you care about. We work it out during the in-home estimate.
How often does a mini-split need maintenance?
Rinse the indoor head filters as often as the owner's manual recommends, and have the system serviced once a year. The AA Comfort Club is $300 per system a year and adds $30 per head a year for systems with more than 2 heads.
Do you repair mini-splits?
Yes. A service visit is a dispatch fee by town, from $119 around Wenatchee, plus a diagnostic fee of $72 to $130, and the technician quotes the repair before starting.
