Repair visit pricing

What an AC repair call costs in and around Cashmere.

Every call has two fees: dispatch, set by town, and diagnostic, set by how long the fault takes to find. The repair and parts come on top, priced before work starts.

Town or time Dispatch Plus
Cashmere $119 Diagnostic
Monitor $119 Diagnostic
Dryden and Peshastin $149 Diagnostic
After 5 pm, weekends, holidays $330 Diagnostic

Diagnostic:$72 for up to 15 minutes, $100 for up to 30, $130 for up to an hour. Neither fee is credited toward the repair. Tune-up:$179 per system. AA Comfort Club:$300 per system a year or $25 a month, with spring and fall visits, half-price dispatch and 15% off parts and labor (not gases or filters).

Quick checks before you call

Try these four, then call us.

Check the thermostat

Cooling mode, set below the room temperature, display working. Replace the batteries if the screen is blank.

Reset a tripped breaker once

Only one try. A breaker that trips a second time is a sign of an electrical fault for us to find.

Look at the filter

If it's gray and packed, swap it. Ice on the lines? Run the fan only for a few hours to thaw before trying cooling again.

Give the outdoor unit room

Pull back weeds, grass clippings and stored items so air can move freely through the coil.

Stop there.

Opening the outdoor unit's electrical panel, handling capacitors or adding refrigerant is a job for a licensed technician. Those parts can hold a dangerous charge even with the power off.

Start to finish

How a Cashmere AC repair visit goes.

  1. You call or book online. Tell us what the system is doing and whether it's central AC, a heat pump or ductless.
  2. A technician arrives and diagnoses. Electrical parts, refrigerant pressures, airflow, the drain and the thermostat all get checked.
  3. You get the price first. We explain what failed and what the repair costs before any work starts.
  4. The repair, then a test run. Once you approve, we fix it and confirm the house is cooling before we leave.

Older systems

Repairing an old AC, or moving on from it.

A repair usually makes sense when

  • The system is under about 15 years old
  • It's the first real problem in years
  • The part is common, like a capacitor, contactor or fan motor
  • It uses a current refrigerant

Time to price a replacement when

  • It runs on R-22, which we no longer use, and needs refrigerant
  • The compressor has failed on an older unit
  • Repairs are coming every summer
  • The furnace is aging too, or you heat with electric resistance

New systems get a free in-home estimate. See air conditioning installation in Cashmere for options and installed price ranges, including heat pump conversions that may qualify for Chelan PUD incentives.
