Furnace Replacement in East Wenatchee, WA

When an East Wenatchee furnace is worn out, you have three good ways to replace it: a new gas furnace, a dual-fuel pair with a heat pump, or a heat pump in place of an electric furnace. We'll help you pick the one that fits your home, and you'll see the price before any work starts.

Repair or replace?

Signs your East Wenatchee furnace is ready to go.

One of these on its own isn't always the end. Two or three together usually are.

  • It's in the 15 to 20 year range. Older furnaces wear faster, and parts get harder to find.
  • You've paid for a repair two winters running. Those bills add up toward a new system.
  • Some rooms never warm up. Uneven heat or short cycling can mean the furnace no longer fits the house.
  • The heating bill keeps climbing. An older, less efficient furnace costs more to run every month.
  • You also want air conditioning. Replacing the furnace is the easiest time to add cooling with a heat pump.

Not sure yet? Book a repair visit first. In East Wenatchee it's a $119 dispatch fee plus a $72, $100 or $130 diagnostic fee depending on time, and the technician gives you the repair price before starting. Furnace repair in East Wenatchee →

Three ways to replace it

What should replace your furnace?

Cascade Natural Gas serves East Wenatchee, and Douglas PUD supplies the power. What heats your house today points to the best fit.

A new gas furnace

The most direct swap for a home already on Cascade gas. A high-efficiency model uses less gas for the same heat.

Best when you want to stay with gas and don't need cooling.

Dual fuel: furnace plus heat pump

A heat pump heats and cools most of the year, and the gas furnace takes over on the coldest nights.

Best for gas homes that also want air conditioning.

How dual fuel works →

A heat pump instead of an electric furnace

A ducted heat pump with a new air handler uses the ducts you have, costs less to run than resistance heat and adds cooling.

Best for homes heating with an electric furnace today.

Rebates work differently on this side of the river.

Douglas PUD has no rebates at this time, so the Chelan PUD heat pump amounts you may see for Wenatchee homes don't apply here. Cascade Natural Gas customers may qualify for a rebate on a gas furnace rated 95% AFUE or higher when gas is the home's main heat; check the current amount with Cascade before you buy. A furnace that only backs up a heat pump doesn't qualify.

Done right the first time

What comes with an East Wenatchee furnace install.

Sized to the house

We size the new system to your home's heating needs, not just the label on the old furnace.

Safe venting and gas connections

Installed and tested by our team before we leave.

Ducts and airflow checked

Return air and duct problems are often what leave rooms cold, so we look at them while we're there.

Thermostat and filter set up

We show you how to run the new system and when to change the filter.

Warranty in writing

New equipment carries its manufacturer's parts warranty (Carrier's runs up to 10 years), and Alpine Aire's own warranty covers parts and labor for one year. We install Carrier, Lennox, Bosch, Mitsubishi and other leading brands, and we're a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer.

Upkeep after the install

The AA Comfort Club covers a spring and a fall visit for $300 plus tax per system a year, or $25 a month.

East Wenatchee furnace questions

Before you replace a furnace in East Wenatchee.

How much does furnace replacement cost in East Wenatchee?

A dual-fuel system (heat pump plus gas furnace) runs $15,706 to $26,748 installed, and a ducted heat pump replacing an electric furnace runs $15,331 to $26,702, before tax. For a straight gas furnace swap, we price your home after a look at the venting and gas line.

Does Douglas PUD offer a rebate on a new furnace or heat pump?

Not at this time. Douglas PUD has no rebates right now, and Chelan PUD's heat pump rebates only apply to Chelan PUD customers.

Is there a rebate for a high-efficiency gas furnace?

Cascade Natural Gas customers may qualify for a rebate on a gas furnace rated 95% AFUE or higher when gas is the home's main heat. Check the current amount with Cascade before you buy.

Should I replace my furnace with a heat pump?

If you heat with an electric furnace, a ducted heat pump usually costs less to run and adds cooling. If you're on gas, dual fuel keeps the furnace for the coldest nights and lets a heat pump do the rest.

Do you replace furnaces in Rock Island and Orondo?

Yes. We replace furnaces in East Wenatchee, Rock Island, Orondo and Badger Mountain, along with the rest of the Wenatchee Valley.
