Heat Pump Installation in Entiat, WA

Entiat sits where the Entiat River meets the Columbia, up US-97A between Wenatchee and Chelan. Winters bring real cold to the valley floor and summer afternoons get hot. A heat pump covers both, and for Chelan PUD customers moving off electric heat, the utility may pay part of the cost.

Repair visits to Entiat carry the same $119 dispatch fee as Wenatchee. See all visit fees ↓

What to know first

Which heat pump fits an Entiat home?

The answer starts with what heats the house today. We install Carrier, Lennox, Bosch, Mitsubishi and other leading brands, and Alpine Aire is a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer.

Electric furnace and ducts

A ducted heat pump with a new air handler reuses the ductwork already in the house. It's also the switch Chelan PUD pays the most toward.

Best when the ducts are sound.

Baseboards or no ducts

A ductless mini-split puts quiet indoor heads in the rooms you use most, all tied to one outdoor unit outside.

Best for older houses, additions and shops. Ductless options →

Gas furnace

Dual fuel adds a heat pump to the furnace you already own. The heat pump cools in summer and heats through spring and fall, and the furnace takes over in deep cold.

Best when the furnace still has good years left.

Chelan PUD incentives for Entiat

Chelan PUD money for an Entiat conversion.

When Chelan PUD is the name on your electric bill, its residential heat pump program can apply. The program rewards first-time moves away from electric resistance heat.

Potential utility incentive

$3,300

Ducted heat pump replacing an electric forced-air furnace

A first-time conversion. Chelan PUD signs off before any equipment is ordered, and Alpine Aire submits that pre-approval for you.

First-time ductless conversion, site-built house $1,600
First-time ductless conversion, manufactured home $2,000
Gas-heated house going all-electric $0
Dual fuel, furnace stays Usually none

Applies to applications from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.

Before we file, we check

  • That Chelan PUD supplies your power
  • What heats the house right now
  • That this would be the home's first heat pump conversion
  • That the system we quote fits the program

Income-qualified households may see more once Chelan PUD's enhanced program opens, which the utility lists for fall 2026. Read about the income-qualified tier →

Rebates are provided and approved only by Chelan PUD. Amounts and eligibility are subject to change. Ask us about standard heat pump rebates.

Entiat weather

Built for a river valley's two seasons.

Cold air settles along the valley floor in winter, and summer sun bakes the hillsides above town. A heat pump chosen for the cold side handles January and still has plenty of cooling left for August.

Our Wenatchee shop is a short run down US-97A, which is why Entiat shares our lowest dispatch fee. Ardenvoir, farther up the Entiat River, falls in our $189 zone.

Heating comes first. We work out the heating load, then pick cold-climate equipment with electric heat strips, or a furnace in dual fuel, for the hardest nights.

Room to breathe. The outdoor unit sits up off the ground, with clear space around it for airflow, drifting snow and roof runoff.

Windows shut on smoky days. Central or ductless cooling lets you keep the house closed when summer smoke drifts down the valley.

Cost and what's included

Entiat heat pump prices, side by side.

Installed prices before any incentive. The third column shows which Chelan PUD amount could apply, if the house qualifies.

System Installed price Possible Chelan PUD amount Good fit for
Ducted heat pump + air handler $15,331–$26,702 $3,300 if it replaces an electric forced-air furnace, bringing it to $12,031–$23,402 Ducted homes on electric heat
Dual fuel (heat pump + gas furnace) $15,706–$26,748 Usually none Homes keeping a gas furnace
Single-zone ductless $7,000–$8,700 $1,600 site-built, $2,000 manufactured, on a first-time conversion One main room or a shop
Multi-zone ductless $11,000–$21,500 Same ductless amounts Several rooms without ducts

Lower numbers are smaller, simpler systems; higher numbers are larger, more efficient ones. Ducted and dual fuel ranges match our online store, and ductless ranges come from our own finished installs. For your house, try the instant price tool or see what affects a heat pump replacement price.

Entiat questions

Heat pumps and conversions: Entiat FAQ.

Can I get a Chelan PUD rebate for a heat pump in Entiat?

If Chelan PUD supplies your power and the project qualifies, yes. A first-time switch from an electric forced-air furnace to a ducted heat pump carries a potential $3,300. A first-time ductless conversion carries $1,600 in a site-built house and $2,000 in a manufactured home. A gas-heated house going all-electric gets $0, and dual fuel usually gets nothing.

Who handles the Chelan PUD paperwork?

We do. Alpine Aire sends the pre-approval request to Chelan PUD, and the utility has to approve it before equipment is ordered. Chelan PUD makes the final call on eligibility and pays the incentive.

How much does a heat pump cost in Entiat?

A ducted heat pump with a new air handler runs $15,331 to $26,702 installed, or $12,031 to $23,402 after a $3,300 Chelan PUD conversion incentive when it replaces an electric forced-air furnace. Dual fuel runs $15,706 to $26,748. Ductless runs $7,000 to $8,700 for one zone and $11,000 to $21,500 for several.

Is ductless a good fit for an older Entiat house with baseboard heat?

Often, yes. Indoor heads go in the rooms you use most, there's no ductwork to build, and a first-time conversion from electric heat may qualify for a Chelan PUD incentive. We'll suggest how many heads the house needs at the free estimate.

What does a heat pump service call cost in Entiat?

Entiat has the same $119 dispatch fee as Wenatchee, and Ardenvoir is $189. A diagnostic fee of $72, $100 or $130 is added depending on how long it takes to find the problem, and you approve the repair price before work starts. The fees are not credited toward the repair.

Can I get after-hours heat pump service in Entiat?

Yes. After-hours emergency service covers Entiat. After 5 pm, on weekends and on holidays, dispatch is $330 plus the diagnostic fee. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

What warranty comes with a new heat pump?

You get the manufacturer's parts warranty, which runs up to 10 years on Carrier equipment, plus Alpine Aire's own 1 year parts and labor warranty.

Do you only install Carrier?

No. We install Carrier, Lennox, Bosch, Mitsubishi and other leading brands. Alpine Aire is a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, and we'll explain the options that suit your house.
