Heating questions

Heating services FAQ

What heating systems do you work on?

Heat pumps, gas and electric furnaces, dual fuel systems, ductless mini-splits, boilers, hydronic and electric radiant floors, geothermal heat pumps and gas fireplaces.

Do you offer emergency heating service?

Yes. After-hours emergency heating service is available in every town we serve. The after-hours dispatch fee is $330, plus the diagnostic.

Should I repair my furnace or switch to a heat pump?

If the furnace is fairly young and the repair is small, repairing usually makes sense. If it's older, needs a major part or runs on electric resistance, a heat pump is worth pricing, especially in Chelan PUD territory, where an electric-furnace conversion may qualify for a potential utility incentive.

Which brands do you install?

We install Carrier, Lennox, Bosch, Mitsubishi and other brands, and we are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer.

How often should my heating system be serviced?

Once a year, ideally in the fall before the first cold snap. A maintenance visit is $179 per system, and AA Comfort Club members get spring and fall visits as part of the plan.

What warranty comes with a new system?

The manufacturer's parts warranty, up to 10 years on Carrier equipment, plus Alpine Aire's own 1-year parts and labor warranty.

Are estimates free?

Yes. Estimates for new heating systems are always free. Repair visits carry the dispatch and diagnostic fees listed above.
